Yesterday.

I'm getting five days a week at the restaurant now. It's not entirely helpful if I have to keep going home early all the time, but I've gone the last three times so there is no way it is not my turn today. There was a big snowfall yesterday, so it was HELLA dead even though it was Friday night. It looks like Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be my days off, which is great because everyone else seems to be off on one or the other of those days too. A lot of people have Monday and Wednesday, which sucks for them.

A lot of externs are doing things they shouldn't be doing. Pastry externs are working on salads. I don't know if they actually mind or not, but it's like umm, they're pastry, you can't make them do culinary. The other way around is actually fine, but yeah. It's also one thing if you just have them help out, and another to actually put them on the line to work on cold apps.

Work yesterday was pretty fun. Dario cooked salmon belly and yellowtail collar for family meal, and I just about died. Salmon belly is my absolute favorite thing ever, and to not have to pay for it either? Jaison had me and Dario help do inventory, and we didn't know what half the things on the list were. Then I had to go home early.

I had asked Brandon for a ride after work because the snow was pretty deathly during the day, but I ran into him and his roommates trying to dig out Rich's car on my way to work, and I was like ...nevermind. By the time I got out of work, the snow had stopped and the plows had cleared most of it away, so I just walked home. Except for the part where I had to step off the road to let a plow pass by, and sunk into snow up to my knee, which is really nothing at all, it was really far from arduous.
