Not old in the seventies sense, but "old as it directly pertains to me" more like. In other words, HELLA ~VISUAL KEI~ WHOO! Umm yeah. Mostly I rearranged my external HD and was like "aww mang was that really # years ago?" and watched old videos and remembered all sorts of ridiculous crushes. I liked Rena from D for some reason, but the amount was proportional to how manly he looked. I doubt it was relevant, but they really sucked after he left; I tried to give them a listen like last year or something, and was so hella bored, it wasn't funny.
Also, Hizaki. I don't think I ever talked about him like ever, but I actually really liked him a lot too, though solely as a musician. I had to track down Maiden Ritual in parts because free filesharing was difficult and roundabout then, probably from either mp3 rotation sites (do those still exist?) or p2p programs. But yeah.
What set this all off though is that I finally, finally heard about DIMMDIVISION. Shoegaze isn't my thing really, but I have been a big fan of Yukino since like forever so okay. And it's kind of interesting that he's doing vocal/guitar for that, because it's been more than a decade since he played guitar in a band, and I think like everyone knows him more as a bassist.
Also, I found this and pretty much died laughing, then thanked myself for not buying this like seven years ago because it's so hilariously bad. Yuina looks like he has no hands and his mouth is off half the time because I can see Hiderou and Iori's hands move in proper time... but Yuina is constantly off. Also, Iori is still playing that guitar right now, or at least the same kind, if you watch cocklobin's Iris PV; I wonder if he has a whole fleet of identical guitars, or just peeled the Siva sticker off, haha. Unfortunately he wasn't playing the same one when he was in Phobia. Haha too bad.
