Went to work for lunch, Kris laughed at me of course. Mal and Val had a pretty good laugh at me too. Uzziel asked me if I want to learn how to roll sushi but I don't know if he was serious or not. Because if he is, I definitely do want to learn. It can only help me. This is the second time he's asked, so I should make sure he knows I'm not saying no because I don't want to.

Haha so then I was on the bus with Brittanie, and overheard some guy clearly new to town asking the bus driver for the stop to the Chutes. I only really noticed because he looked like Brandon from behind, and I told Brittanie this, and I told the guy, we're getting off at the Chutes too, follow us. And we talked to him a little down the driveway, like where we all work and he's like, I'm working at the Yodler. And I'm like, hmm you're working with Rojo then. He's like, my brother? And I pause and am like, wait, your actual brother wait BRANDON is your WAIT A SECOND WELL THAT MAKES SENSE NOW

Apparently Brandon drove all the way down to pick him up yesterday. That must've sucked. He brought his brother (Joe) over later, introduced him to us all properly.

Good day at work today, though I was super tired because a nap is a stupid idea, seriously. Never again. Uzziel showed me how to arrange the case fishes, said I can do it the next time we're on lunch together, and he's always encouraging me to ask Jaison to learn how to do sushi. Shit like this is why he's one of my favorite people there. Jeff didn't come in until almost 11. I like almost all of the lunch staff, and it's not nearly as frantic as dinner so it's also fun. Valerie and Heather were on today; Heather and I pretended to be Deesel (expo) and Dario (kitchen manager), respectively. I absolutely adore Valerie. I kind of wish I was on lunch every day, instead of half of them. I wish I had Sunday! Eloy comes in instead of Jeff on Sunday, which makes me so envious because I could be there! I would love lunch if Jeff just plain wasn't there, regardless of who replaces him.

Anyway, it was our first all-you-can-eat-sushi day, which meant I had little to actually make but a couple appetizers here and there, and tempura/unagi for the sushi chefs. Then an order for REAL FOOD actually came in, and I got super excited, going "YES! A REAL FOOD ORDER!" And Kris laughs at me and says that's just himself, and I deflate again. But then I suddenly got slammed with tickets as I finished his lunch, so I guess I got what I wanted.

I have a difficult time telling whether Fernando is being serious or not sometimes. He is so deadpan sometimes, I can't tell whether he really meant to smack me in the face with a tuna loin or not.

Haha the best double entendre today, Neil is stooping to fill a pitcher with soy sauce. Nate is making simple syrup, and he says, "Just reaching for some sugar," as he grabs the cambro full of sugar, which is next to Neil's crotch.
