Okay I feel bad about this giant "hahahaha" but I went to talk to Dave (Morriss) about working for him and he told me something incredibly hilarious.

Apparently Levy Premium had a big meeting, where Jack and Dave (different one, probably Benge) stood up and said, if you don't want to work with Marc Mora anymore, raise your hand and apparently every single person raised their hand. So they told Mora, we can either speak to your bosses and have them fire you, or you can quit on your own terms and gtfo. Apparently he took door #2.

I don't feel bad about that because Marc Mora is a dick.

Ralph got fired, I was a little surprised, at the same time I saw it coming. I submitted a slew of complaints against him myself, directly to Dave (another one, Johnston) at HR. He'd told me at the time that they were doing something about it "in their own way" so I guess this was their answer... I might hazard a guess that the decision to cut him was already made at the time, just keeping him for the last couple weeks until closing.

It seems extremely likely that Sushi Rei is going to be permanently closed, just trying to blow through some of the inventory. Ian (former executive chef at Skadi) said that Underground is not going to open at all in the summer except for like parties and events.

I already told Marc Mora that I'd be coming back to work at Sushi Rei, but considering he's, you know, gone now, I wonder if it's viable to just not go back. I've no interest in a sinking boat. The Bistro doesn't seem like it's going out of business any time soon, I don't have to work for that donkey Mora, I get a gym membership and after like 3 months I get insurance benefits. I'll still work for finance in the winter so I'll still have a pass to ski on the mountain. Dave has a reputation for a reason and his work history has a hilarious number of pink slips but I don't have a problem with him personally, I actually get along with him well so.

I might talk to Jack though, see what is going on with that front. I'm not interested in sinking ships, but I'm not against a little extra money.

Remember that time I was super into Hetalia and then lost interest and then the obsession came back full-force?

Hahahaha and apparently I still ship the same ships because I'm scouring the internet for every single Prussia/Romano fic in existence and reading even the ones of dubious quality! Considering they've interacted literally once in the comic strips (a couple times in other art) it's practically a crack ship, but I think it could really work. I'm super tired of Spamano anyway. But I hate fics that have it as an established relationship, it pretty much doesn't make sense if you don't know how they got together and are immediately at the comfortable and lovey point because it's like entering a room in the middle of the of a conversation. I'm just like "wat" because Prussia and Romano aren't a likely couple, and something has to have happened to get them together. That something is probably a lot more interesting than your domestic-life fluff crap.

Sweden/Finland is possibly the most boring ship ever. Aww how cute look at their boring-ass married life. A lot of it is Established Relationship, so it's like, what's the point in these fics? There is little catalyst, I don't care what's going to happen. We already know they get a happy ending so something awesome better happen along the way. Usually, it doesn't.

Spamano... sorry, boring. I used to ship it but I don't really anymore. They are just too predictable, though there is a lot of really great fic and it works pretty well for fluffy pick-me-ups. Their relationship dynamics are just too fluffy for me.

I read a fic that had a lot of Greece/Romano and for some bizarre reason I enjoyed it so much that I almost didn't want Prussia and Romano to get together.

I re-read the Hetaween 2011 strips and nearly died laughing at Italy's Roman slave costume, namely how it spread like a virus to everyone who came in contact with him. And Grandmano too of course, I'd forgotten all about that. I found the folder of Grandmano memes saved on my computer.

I don't like the micronations. They're just... boring, because they have little significant history and no distinct culture. Sealand is fine because he was the first and an oddity, but the others are like making the same joke 5 times.
