(no subject)

So my last day at Sushi Rei was yesterday and while I'm bummed I don't get to hang out with Fernando, Mariah, Cortney and all the lovable servers and bussers who've become my friends in the past 7 weeks (1.5 years for Miles), that book is closed now. It's time to jump ship while I can, because that sushi bar is a mess, Russ is an idiot who knows nothing about sushi, and I don't want to work for a company that's unwilling to acknowledge everything I've done for them over the past 3 years. I'm getting tired of working doubles every single day as well, and I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and exhausted. I really enjoy working at Canyon, and the only thing that'd make it better is not dreading going to Sushi Rei afterwards.

I talked to Freddy and he'd said I could work for him at the bowling alley, but then a couple days ago he said he didn't know because the holiday season is over now, and I was a little stoked about that because I don't mind having evenings off, it'll be great. I'll finally have times for my hobbies now that I'm not working anywhere between 14 hours a day.

Then I had a chat with Mary today and she was worried because we're probably going to cut down on hours in T&A as well, but I told her it's okay, I didn't quit because I thought it could support me. I was talking to Mike Goldsworthy, the parking supervisor, yesterday and he was like "ha ha you should put on my jacket and work for me haha" and I was like "haha maybe I will! haha" like we were both half-serious, and I think I might ask him about it because he looks HAGGARD, he hasn't had a real day off since they fired David for stealing money, so I might want to try that just to give him a couple days reprieve. I don't mind working every day if it's only 8 hours and easy as hell like parking is. He's kitchen supervisor at Thai'd Up as well so he's got a lot going on, this isn't his only gig.

And then right after that I went to bother Kate at Canyon tickets and she said she's losing people like flies, Kristen went back south for school earlier this week and that chick was great, always had perfect closeouts, great customer service, etc. And then she lost another person, so I said "Hey you should have me come in a couple days a week! I wanna try doing tickets!" And she was like "YEAH!!?!??!?!" Jeremy'd probably be ok with it too, and I really want to know how it is doing the sales part of things. It'll help me at Finance.

So those are my options, or I could just do them all. It really is about who you know, and I know everybody at Canyon, some better than others but everyone already knows I can be trusted with money, because if you can't trust me, you can't trust anybody. I can probably cobble together 40 hours a week if money gets tight, but I can just be frugal and careful, and Freddy might want me around when it picks up again, so I'm not worried at any rate.
