(no subject)

I was talking to Fernando about something and suddenly he was like, "Dude, there's something stuck on your face." And he pulled something close to my skin and he's like, "you have someone's hair on your face, it's all blond. Oh wait it's still there." And he plucked at it again and this time he saw it tug at my skin as he pulled it out because I had a long, pale hair growing out of my chin that I somehow managed to not notice. And we were like WHAT THE FUCK and just cracking up. It was long, blond and there was a little curl at the end where he'd pulled at it.

I actually worked with Stephanie tonight. She is the one person I don't know very well, because she only comes in once a week at most, and last winter her one day was during my day off. Fernando went home early and then we got a relatively large amount of people right at the end so I was helping her grab this and that, and particularly plating which is very time-consuming. She's also the general manager at Side Door, which I totally didn't know.

Fernando always looks like he wants to smack me whenever I tell him someone told me to do something differently. He tells me to roll without a maki, and I'm like, "Everyone else taught me to use the maki." He's like, "Who's everyone?" And I'm like, "Uzziel. Eloy." And he's like, "Uzziel's been rolling for like what, a month? Eloy, a couple years? Do what I say, son." And I'm like, "I've been doing this for what, a couple days? Yeah." Fernando's been doing this for a very long time though, actually went to sushi school. Rolling without a mat is easy enough for him, but I dunno, I'd go with what the fastest guy shows me.
